Random Songs I Found Browsing Spotify

Updated: 7 hours ago

I swear I was only going on Spotify to listen to one song… and suddenly I’m 20 tracks deep with a whole new playlist. Oops.

There’s a different kind of magic in discovering music that no one has recommended. It feels personal, like it was waiting for you to land on it. Those little surprises are what keep music exciting. The best discoveries happen by accident, and sharing them feels just as good as stumbling into them.

I swear I was only hopping on Spotify to play one song… and then suddenly I’m knee-deep in new music like it was a scavenger hunt I didn’t sign up for with a playlist I didn’t mean to make. Typical. But I can’t even pretend to be mad about it. My playlists are basically pre-stories. Little emotional maps I follow before I ever write a single line. Music sets the tone for everything I create, and sometimes a single chorus gives me more direction than an outline ever could.

So, here are a few songs that caught me completely off guard—in the best way.

Buss It Open - Trapboy Freddy

This one hit my playlist the second the beat dropped. It’s gritty, catchy, and has that bounce that makes you feel like you accidentally walked into the rowdiest part of the club. Pure energy — the kind of track that wakes you up even if you weren’t tired.

Searching - Blxst

Blxst has this way of sounding smooth without even trying, and “Searching” is one of those songs you replay before it’s even over. It’s warm, easy, and hits that sweet spot between R&B and rap that just feels good. Perfect for late-night drives… or pretending you’re in one.

Slumber Party - Ashnikko

Chaotic, fun, and unapologetically bold — exactly what you expect from Ashnikko. “Slumber Party” is the kind of track that makes you smirk, dance, and maybe text someone you shouldn’t. A loud, glittery moment with zero shame attached.

Goddess - Jaira Burns

Jaira always knows how to deliver attitude wrapped in a dreamy hook, and “Goddess” is no exception. It’s sultry, confident, and gives main character energy without even trying. The perfect soundtrack for fixing your lip gloss and remembering who you are.

janae - sage h.

This one feels soft, intimate, and quietly addictive — the type of song you stumble into and immediately save. It’s tender without being overly sentimental, just honest and beautifully simple. A peaceful little gem that sneaks up on you.

The Takeaway

Every once in a while, a random scroll through Spotify turns into a whole personality shift. These tracks weren’t recommended, hyped, or handed to me; they just showed up and stuck. And that’s the magic of music you find on your own: it hits different, because it feels like it’s yours first. If you want to hear everything that stopped me mid-scroll, you already know the move. And trust me, there’s more where this came from.

See you in the next dig-through.
